Must Watch Games of Week 3

Here are 3 games you won't want to miss this weekend.

1. Houston @ Texas Tech

Houston and Texas Tech face off in Lubbock on Friday with hopes of making a statement atop the Big 12 standings. The Red Raiders have gotten off to somewhat of a sluggish start to the year with Will Hammond running the offense in place of who they thought would be doing so, Brendan Sorsby. With the entire offseason being built around Sorsby, it isn't all that surprising that the offense doesn't seem to click and move efficiently quite yet. Meanwhile, Conner Weigman is leading the Cougars and they're looking to make a splash amongst the Big 12's best teams. Going into the season, BYU and Texas Tech seemed to get a lot of the hype but now that we're two games in, people are starting to notice Houston. If Houston can go into Lubbock and win on Friday night, I think the whole country is going to be forced to start paying attention to the Cougars as they look to make a push for not only the Big 12 title, but a playoff berth as well.

2. SMU @ Louisville

This matchup is the big one for the ACC this weekend. It's obvious that Miami is the front-runner and the team that everyone expects to win the ACC, as well as make a run to the National Championship game yet again. However, these two teams are right behind them trying to make their own noise. Louisville went toe to toe with Ole Miss in Week 1, resulting in a last second loss by a field goal. Meanwhile, SMU did everything they could to lose in Week 1 to a bad Florida State team but ultimately ended up on top. Both of these teams dominated in Week 2 against inferior opponents, leading them to a banger of a matchup this weekend. The winner of this game will surely make it known to Miami and the rest of the ACC that they aren't here to settle for second place.

3. LSU @ Ole Miss

This is the game of the weekend. Lane Kiffin makes his return to Oxford where a fanbase that absolutely hates his guts awaits him. Will golf balls or mustard packets be thrown from the crowd? I guess we'll find out. One thing for sure is that Trinidad Chambliss and the Rebels have been looking forward to this one. However, I'd argue Lane has as well. Chambliss is one of the top, if not the top quarterback in the country and faces a hungry LSU defense led by Whit Weeks. That matchup is bound to be electric. The big question is the Tigers offense going up against the Rebels defense. Can Ole Miss make Sam Leavitt beat them with his arm and if so, can he do it? Turnovers in the first two weeks have caused some issues so it'll be important to eliminate those on Saturday. This game is going to have it all - hatred, fireworks, drama, you name it. I suggest you find a TV on Saturday night and lock into this one, it's going to have everything you're looking for.
