bold Alabama @ Mississippi State
A battle of arguably the top 2 quarterbacks in the SEC takes place at 11am central time on Saturday in Starkville. Keelon Russell and Kamario Taylor are taking the country by storm and Saturday should only enhance the recognition both are receiving. I'd be lying if I said I didn't expect some fireworks as both of these offenses have made numerous explosive plays in the first four games of the season. Starkville is known for their cowbells, and I can guarantee they are going to be rocking. The last time the Bulldogs beat Alabama was in Starkville in 2007. Can Jeff Lebby and his star QB pull off the upset? We'll know Saturday afternoon as this is a great way to kick off your Saturday.
bold Ohio State @ Iowa
College Gameday is headed to Iowa City this weekend to see the Hawkeyes take on the Buckeyes in an exciting Big 10 matchup. Iowa is coming off an incredible last second win in the Big House to upset Michigan while Ohio State is continuing to rise since their devastating loss to Texas after losing a 20-point lead. Iowa last beat Ohio State in 2017 so not as long ago as the first game we mentioned but long enough to where the Hawkeye fans are hungry for another upset. A big question in this game is whether or not Iowa can contain Jeremiah Smith, knowing just a week ago, they gave up 100 yards receiving to two different Michigan receivers. Iowa is one of those teams that will expose the areas of your team that are undisciplined. They force you to beat yourself. They chip away, stay in the game, and then take advantage of a costly mistake that they've been waiting for you to make all game. I'm curious to see if they can do that this weekend with a raucous crowd behind them. I'm also curious to see how many yards Jeremiah Smith earns as there's a chance it could be a very high number, given Iowa's secondary.
bold Miami @ Clemson
Clemson has won three straight games after their Week 1 loss to LSU and Miami has looked pretty dominant in every game, besides maybe the Wake Forest game where they struggled to score in the second half. Miami is a heavy favorite on the road this weekend and I believe the entire country expects them to win. Will Dabo Swinney and "little ol' Clemson" find some magic at home? Maybe, then again, we could also see the magic of Heisman hopefuls Darian Mensah and Malachi Toney for the Hurricanes. I know for a fact, they are going to want to put on a show in front of the country. Still an intriguing game to say the least, as we may learn just how much fight Clemson has left, as well as just how dominant Miami can be.
