Bold Georgia @ Alabama
This is the game of the weekend, maybe the game of the year, in terms of anticipation. The only thing this game may be missing is good weather as fans have been keeping a close eye on whether or not this game could get delayed, postponed, moved, etc. It's a battle of two top teams trying to stake their claim as not only the best team in the SEC, but maybe the country. These two teams have played quite often the last few years, both in the regular season, as well as Atlanta for the SEC Championship. This could undoubtedly be another SEC Championship preview. The winner of this game is most likely bound for the College Football Playoff. Although it wouldn't be a guarantee, it would be a massive step towards that direction.
bold UCLA @ Oregon
Bob Chesney has his Bruins rolling this year, trying to make a statement in his first year that they are for real. This Saturday will be another opportunity to prove that when they visit Oregon. Oregon suffered that early season loss to Oklahoma State, which doesn't look so bad anymore and have been rolling since. Dan Lanning will surely have his guys ready as they continue to try and eliminate that loss from everyone's mind. Dante Moore is still not cleared to play so Dylan Raiola will have another opportunity on a big stage to show that he still has the potential to be a big-time quarterback. Curious to see how this one plays out as it feels like the country hasn't truly seen UCLA play yet and this could be the chance they let everyone know that they have arrived.
bold OU vs Texas - Red River Shootout
Throw out all the rankings, all the stats, and all the previous games as this is a true rivalry in which anything can happen. Has OU's offense looked abysmal? Sure. Has John Mateer played poorly enough to consider being benched? Probably. Doesn't matter in this game. This game, as it stands, may not seem to be as big as Indiana going to Nebraska but in my eyes, it's a game where anything can happen and Texas could definitely suffer their first loss if they think OU is just going to lay down. It's a perfect opportunity for Brent Venables and his team to pull off an upset and find some positive in what has been a disappointing season so far. Texas has won the last two and is going for a third straight over the Sooners and I know OU is aware of that. Doesn't matter what has happened earlier this season, this one always requires popcorn when you turn this game on. This weekend will be no different.
